This specific design holds a very special place in our hearts. It was originally conceptualized and created in 2024 for Marilyn’s brother, Dan, for his memorial service. To honor his lifelong passion for the water, the patience of the sport, and the peace he found outdoors, we designed this rustic, two-piece fishing tribute. It was a labor of love for our family, and it is now our privilege to offer this same design to other families wishing to celebrate the life of their beloved angler.
The Design Details
This striking memorial set features two coordinated pieces designed to create a thematic focal point near an urn, portrait, or podium at a service or celebration of life.
The Standing Wreath: A large, lush easel spray featuring garden roses, vibrant yellow lilies, tall blue delphinium to represent water, and rustic woodland greenery and twigs.
The Catch: A coordinating floor basket arrangement sits below, featuring a beautifully handcrafted wooden fish amidst matching blooms.
Artisan Craftsmanship & Deep Customization
The details matter in a tribute like this. The centerpiece wooden fish is not mass-produced; we special-order these unique pieces from local artisan Teresa Morkert with Kilted Nutz, ensuring a handcrafted touch of quality.
A Truly Personal Touch: connecting the two arrangements is a fishing pole with its line cast toward the "catch" below. While we can provide a standard pole for the display, we highly encourage families to bring in their loved one’s own trusty fishing rod and reel. We will handle it with the utmost care and incorporate it into the piece, making the final tribute profoundly personal.
